Friends of Nunavut Film,
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nunavut Film Development Corporation is taking the necessary precautions to mitigate the spread of the virus and monitor its impact on the Nunavut screen-based industry.
NFDC’s staff will work remotely until further notice. We will still be available by email. Our contact information can be found on our website www.nunavutfilm.ca
The Nunavut Film Industry Training (FIT) workshops that were planned to be held in Gjoa Haven (March) and Clyde River (April) will be postponed for a later date. We will announce an updated travel itinerary when it is safe to do so.
“Nunavummiut should avoid mass gatherings, refrain from travelling or going to community airports unless required, and limit visiting,” said the GN’s chief public health officer, Dr. Michael Patterson. Please inform yourself about the risks and preventative measures you can take here.
We strongly urge individuals to halt travelling for production and stay on top of the latest advisories from the Government of Nunavut, Government of Canada, and the World Health Organization
If we can be of any assistance during this difficult time, please don't hesitate to contact us.
