The Youth Committee supports the ECA-EC Board, giving the organisation a youth perspective whilst also providing a platform to learn.

We thank all the 24 applicants from 16 countries who answered to our call, hoping to involve them in further occasions and meet in some of the choral events around Europe.

YEMP [Young Event Management Programme] is a training programme for young, active and skillful event organisers, a win-win situation for your volunteers and your festival.

In the frame of the STAMP project, we worked with other 9 European partners for 2 years to develop training in different fields of music.

EuroChoir 2019 in France:
1 month left to apply!

Vaison-la-Romaine, France | 1-9 August 2019

EuroChoir: a yearly international choir project for singers 18-30 years old.
In 2019 a “special” session is organised during Choralies Festival under the direction of Yuval Weinberg.

The program will be demanding for singers who liked to be challenged, but adapted to the shorter rehearsal time. With more free time, the singers will have a chance to enjoy the festival, the French “art de vivre”, get to know each other.

World Youth Choir 2019: participate in the auditions!

France & Portugal | 14 July - 4 August 2019

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the World Youth Choir, France will host the 2019 Summer Session in the southern region of Occitanie.
It will be a unique experience for the 60 young singers from around the world and for the audiences who will attend their high-quality concerts under the directions of Josep Vila i Casañas.

For passionate choral singers between 17 and 26 years old on July 1st, 2019, from a background of basic or semi professional music education, able to speak English at an intermediate level.

The Belgian repertoire has a great deal to offer.
Florence suggest you discover it through original and poetic arrangements of songs by Maurane, Philippe Lafontaine, Salvatore Adamo, Jacques Brel, Loïc Nottet, Alice on the Roof, Puggy, Hooverphonic… Vintage and modern music for all!

ATELIER L04 - Missa Brevis in D Minor- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

August 1st to 9th 2019 | Conductor: Leslie PEETERS

SATB - medium - 100 singers - French/English

The Missa Brevis in D Minor for four mixed voices was written by a 13 year-old in Salzburg in 1769. This piece for string orchestra and four soloists was the only one of Mozart’s masses written in minor key. Its tormented character foreshadows the Requiem and speaks volumes about the genius of its young composer.

ATELIER L10 - Northern lights

August 1st to 9th 2019 | Conductor: Cecilia Martin-Löf

Come and discover some pearls from the North! In this atelier you will meet Swedish choral poetry as well as folklore from Scandinavia. Let your soul be inspired by the old tuned psalms, dances and melodies from this northern part of Europe!

ATELIER L18 - Gospel

August 1st to 9th 2019 | Conductor: Bassey Ebong

SATB - easy - 70 singers - English/French

Through a selection of iconic African American songs, the choral conductor and singer songwriter Bassey Ebong will teach you gospel repertoire.
His teaching method centers around communicating musicality and finding the balance between emotion and interpretation.

Singing Weeks Flanders

Ghent, Belgium | 8-15 July 2019


Join the International Singing Week Flanders in the heart of the beautiful historical city of Ghent with dynamic ateliers to suit different tastes, with open singing, a musical program for children, choir-to-choir concerts. For adult singers, youth choirs, families and young conductors.

Course of Young Choral Conductors

Are you dreaming of becoming a choral conductor?
Here is your chance to have a go and feel what it is like to sculpture the sound of a choir.
This course is meant for 'absolute beginners'. You will learn about the basics of choral conducting and vocal training and have a go yourself at conducting in practical sessions.

For: young people, 16-33 years old, who want to discover the basics of choral conducting; starting conductors, teachers, singers.

Choral Festival Nordklang 2019

Helsingborg, Sweden | 26-29 June 2019


Taking place every three years, the festival usually gathers 1.000 participants, several internationally renowned conductors and workshop leaders as well as choirs and vocal ensembles from all over the Nordic region.

The participants can experience a variety of genres, ranging from classical music to pop and rock and they will bring lots of new knowledge and inspiration back home.

Beautiful Helsingborg offers the perfect setting for this festival.

An event realizing the choral needs of the international choral community that aims to provide an opportunity for choral singers, choral professionals, conductors, composers and music educators to interact and learn from world-renowned choirs and their conductors.

4th International Competition for Choral Composition

The Competition is dedicated to choral compositions a cappella (SATB or divided into as many as eight parts, SSAATTBB) with a maximum duration of 5 minutes, specifically for medium to advanced choirs.

  • First Prize: 1,000 USD, IFCM Awards Certificate and plaque

12th World Choral Symposium: pre-register now!

The musical collection of Maksym Berezovsky was printed

Maksym Berezovsky is a unique composer for Ukrainian and Russian musical culture in the 18th century.The proposed edition includes 9 concerts of four voices.The book collection is bilingual: Ukrainian-English. All pieces in the collection have an English translation with notes where reference material of the origin of the notes is presented.
On December 2nd 2019 a concert presentation of Maksym Berezovsky pieces in Kyiv at the St. Michael's Cathedral (notes and CD) took place.

European Parliamentary elections will take place on 23-26 May 2019.
Cultural and creative sectors advocate for the culture and Europe that is democratic, diverse, fair, free, human, inclusive and vital.
