WHAT´S NEW IN ECA-EC

ECA-EC Webniars & Zoom Cafés

As much as the COVID-19 pandemic has kept us apart physically, many of us have been seeing each other much more frequently through video conferences. In 2020, ECA-EC offered a series of webinars and semi-formal Zoom Cafés on various topics of interest, some exlcusively for ECA-EC members, some open to the wider public, to keep the choral family together.

We are happy to announce that we will continue our webinars & zoom cafés in 2021. The first two sessions are already fixed and we're very much looking forward to e-meeting you there!

Raise your voice | An EPIC webinar
26 January

How can media channels help you making your voice be heard? Join the Raise Your Voice webinar on partnering up with media for singing and learn from Inari Tilli about this topic.

Inari is a specialist in choral music at the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle). She holds a Master’s degree in music education from the Sibelius Academy and has been working with digital media for about two decades. At Yle, she has a programme about vocal music on Yle Radio 1, presents choral concerts and produces choral recordings. She is also Artistic Director of Yle personnel choir. In addition to her broadcasting work, she has still found time to sing in many choirs, such as Kampin Laulu Chamber Choir, Philomela, The Sibelius Academy Vocal Ensemble and The Finnish Chamber Choir. She is at present a member of the Key Ensemble, a chamber choir based in Turku.

This session is part of a webinar series in the frame of the EPIC Project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

Digital Stage: For better online rehearsals!

Due to Covid-19 regulations, most choirs and ensembles across Europe and beyond are no longer able to rehearse or perform as they used to, and the digital tools currently available are not satisfactory.

German non-profit initiative digital-stage.org is aiming to create a tool that will help choirs and ensembles to have a better experience and really make music together online. Read more about this initiative which we are supporting as a contributing partner. Even though the festive season of donations is over, Digital Stage will be very grateful for your donation and will make good use of it to develop the software further which ultimately will help the whole sector.

If you want to contribute to the development of this tool, that can make a change for so many artists out there, including singers in choirs and ensembles, please support Digital Stage by donating here.
