Stitch and Stir Podcast

Fremont United Methodist Church
2620 NE Fremont Street

Doors open at 6 for social knitting and snacks. Program begins at 7.

Join Emme and Samantha of the Stitch & Stir Podcast as they get the audience involved in a night of fun and games.

Emme and Samantha record a podcast live, share insight on what is behind running a podcast, talk about their most shameful knitting secrets (and ask to hear from the audience), and offer a chance to play their 'Gimme, Gimme!' game show for a chance to win knitting related prizes.

Check in on social media before the event for details for how you can come prepared to win!

You can find the Stitch & Stir podcast on Youtube, Instagram (@stitch.and.stir) and catch both Emme (@rocksteadyemme) and Samantha (@samanthaknits) on Instagram.

Knit Nights: Inclusion &Diversity

Monday, March 11, we host our 2nd Knit Night to speak about better inclusion in our knitting community. It's a safe space to help each other and learn. It's an opportunity to grow. It's a chance to connect.

The focus this month will be a discussion around the books, videos, podcasts, and other resources that helped change or develop your perspective on race and culture outside your own.

We meet the second Monday of every month. All are welcome!

Our next Knit Night is:
Monday, March 11, 6:30 PM

Fremont United Methodist Church, Bob Nelson Room
2620 NE Fremont St, Portland
WE *heart* OUR MEMBERS

We're hoping to give more of you kudos on our blog and social profiles because you are awesome!

Member Spotlights include pics of some of your favorite projects, your fiber arts discoveries, and what you love about knitting. If you want to be featured, let us know via email or at our meetings. You can also do our little "interview" any time. Just answer 5 or 6 questions of your choosing and email us back.

We also love hearing your great knitting-related tips! You don't have to be a Master Knitter, teacher, designer, or expert to share a helpful hint, learning, or tip at our meetings.

Let us know if you want to share a tip.
On Pins and Needles

We have cute enamel pins, like these, for $10. Decorate your project bags with 'em!

Catch Up

If you missed the February meeting, we missed you! Emily Devlin, a.k.a. Fairweather Knitter, walked us through each part of a sock, "instep by instep." You can read a summary here.
