As we prepare to take a day or two off from our busy work lives to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the work of our partners, members, committees and staff. We couldn’t accomplish all that we do without each and every one of you.
Thanks to the work of everyone who has supported the International Inbound Travel Association, we have been able to accomplish great feats in a small amount of time. Through the work of the Membership Committee, IITA has been able to more clearly define membership categories and recruit new members from across the country. The Government Relations Committee has been working hard to push for funding for the National Parks, bring you the latest from D.C. and advocate for issues important to the inbound industry. Partnerships with La Cita, U.S. Commercial Service and the US Travel Association have flourished under Lisa Simon’s leadership. Together we are making great strides to bring attention to the inbound travel industry.
I look forward to continuing this progress in the upcoming year. Please register for Summit and be part of the conversation about IITA’s future as we reveal the strategic plan the board has been working on so diligently for the past six months.
Whether you’re hitting the road or sticking close to home, I hope you get to enjoy some quality time with those who matter most in your life.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
