IITA Partners with La Cita - FREE Webinar on the LATAM Market Scheduled for June 9th.

IITA and La Cita have entered a partnership that will open doors and drive business from the LATAM market to IITA members. La Cita is a "by invitation," one-on-one appointment conference that provides networking opportunities for U.S. travel professionals to meet, build partnerships and facilitate inbound travel from key markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. in 2014, Latin America (visitors from Mexico, Central, South America & the Caribbean) generated a record 24.8 million visitors of the record 75 million arrivals to the United States, more than 33% of all visitors to the country, according to the National Travel and Tourism Office. Spending is the United States by all Latin countries generated a record $53.1 billion of the record $221 billion spent by international travelers, up 111% since 2005.

La Cita will take place August 30 - September 1, 2016 at the Trump National Doral Miami. IITA inbound tour operator members who register for La Cita with at least a shared office on the La Cita business floor, can register a buyer for the exclusive rate of $350 which includes their hotel room for the three nights of the event.

Founder, Rick Still shared that what makes La Cita different are the partnerships that are formed through real relationships. “IITA has always been a leader in helping destinations develop inbound global travel and all of us in the La Cita ‘community’ are excited about this strategic partnership. What a great opportunity to build relationships and partnerships between our colleagues  committed to inbound travel from Latin America and the Caribbean," exclaimed Mr. Still.

Chairman's Corner:

IITA continues to get the word out about the importance of working with a qualified International Inbound Tour Operator (seems like ITO is the new acronym for Receptive Operator). One way to do this is to work with programs that we feel will help get the word out about our members to as many International Tour Operators as possible. We will have a booth at IPW in June along with some ads placed in the IPW Daily (thank you Malcolm and Sean for helping get this together) and hope that we can have an interview or two in the publication as well. Lisa has also worked hard to arrange a reception before the opening event at the New Orleans Superdome and I hope to see many of our members at the Basin Street Station - and then joining us on the Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus as we transfer to the Superdorm! And please invite anyone that you feel would be a great potential member to join us so they can see who we are!

Another way to get the word out to the ITO's who work the South and Central American markets is the new partnership with La Cita (see article above for details). We will have an "office" at the show to tell everyone about IITA—and our mission and goals!

Thanks everyone for helping spread the word….
