With Covid restrictions being relaxed, Friends of Westdene Green are planning a picnic and celebration on the Green on Sat 11th September to ease us all back to meeting in person. The event will be from noon-4pm with music, entertainment, art show, bar and tea/cakes. We will have information and reports about Friends of Westdene Green and The Barn and will hold our Annual General Meeting (postponed from June 26th because of Covid restrictions).

“We’ll need some volunteers, of course, to help us set up and clear away afterwards – and most of all we look forward to meeting friends and neighbours again!"

FoWDG Community Champions have started looking at the feasibility of Table Tennis on the green, an idea from people in our community. As soon as we have information to share, we will post on our website and Facebook page and include in our e-news. We will ask for local views and we will be available to chat in person at the picnic.

If you live locally and want to get involved, please contact Pete Jones,
Community Champions Coordinator

A white line has been painted at the entrance to the path to The Barn for access purposes. Please don't park over it. Thank you.

Kind residents who have been picking up litter after users of The Green have noticed a marked increase recently. Please use the bins or take your litter home if the bins are full and help keep our Green lovely.

Our wonderful Barn needs a few more local people to join the cleaning team. If you can spare an hour or so just once a month and would like to help keep our community venue looking great, please contact Dave Burton  07802 266035
