Final Days of our Holiday Gift Drive!

The annual Holiday Gift Drive ends on December 8th and all of the gifts will be handed out at our party on December 10th! There are still more than 150 children who need sponsors, and lots more opportunities to give a gift! To sponsor a child, click here to be taken to our Gift Drive page! Or keep it simple and send gift card donations to Rise Holiday Toy Drive, P.O. Box 88, Hightstown, NJ 08520. In 2021, community members provided over 1137 gifts to local children. With your support, our community’s children will be able to celebrate a fulfilling and memorable holiday in 2022! |

Two More Days to Vote for Rise in the PickNRG Giveaway!

NRG Energy has selected 10 local nonprofits to receive a donation from NRG Gives, and Rise is one of them! The public is able to vote for their favorite nonprofit until December 2, 2022, and the top 5 organizations with the most votes will each receive $15,000! The remaining 5 will each receive $5,000. Vote daily for Rise and help us make our way to the top! Click on picknrg.com/vote and choose Rise from the list! Don't forget to vote each day until December 2nd! The winners will be announced on December 14th! We hope to have something to be extra cheerful about this holiday season!

We have taken the Rise Pantry mobile with Rise on the Run! This new program is intended to curb hunger in our schools and help our local youth succeed in after school programs when snacks are otherwise unavailable and they need sustained energy to get through the rest of their day. Starting with Hightstown High School, boxes of snacks will be distributed weekly and will be available to students free of charge. Snacks will also be available in the Rise Thrift Store during business hours. Each snack package will have a sticker with a QR code that links to more information about the Rise Pantry! Together, we can reduce hunger in our community with Rise on the Run!

Shop online at your convenience while still shopping locally and helping your neighbors all at the same with Rise Thrift's Ebay and Etsy stores! New jewelry is added to our Etsy shop weekly and you can find some incredible gifts at low prices or that perfect piece to match your holiday outfit! Click here to be taken to our Etsy shop! Our Ebay store is the place to go for name brand electronics, shoes, toys and so much more! Shopping second hand is better for the environment (prevents waste), less costly, and keeps your dollars local. November Community Impact by the Numbers

Every day, our mission is to help our neighbors in whatever way we can. In November, we had 1,158 visits to the food pantry by 505 local families. We distributed 17,292 bags of food to local families, and handed out 136 bags of pet food. 249 bags of personal care supplies were given to those in need. 364 of our Rise volunteers donated 2,363 hours of their time. Our efforts are made possible by donations that we receive and by our amazing volunteers. We want you to know that you are making a huge difference in the lives of people around you who may be struggling, and lifting up your entire community.
