Sunday Times

A rooibos tea-tourism industry is brewing in the Cederberg
Aron Hyman finds out what's potting in and around the 'rooibos capital of the world' in the Western Cape.

If you lie down in the Cederberg and look at the stars, you could imagine the Earth around you as a reflection of the heavens.

Almost innumerable flower species wait for the sun to rise in pockets of sand scattered amongst boulders that are stacked onto each other at impossible angles. Each crevasse and each koppie contains tiny ecosystems so unique that they may be found only on that spot...

Clanwilliam Development Partnership

We are very proud to be part of the Leadership in Local Governance programme from Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy, with our Mentor Prof Deon Pretorius for 2021.
WEBSITE
The main objective of this training programme is to improve local and institutional governance. This can be achieved by making municipalities more equitable and inclusive. During this training programme, participants will work on change projects that aim to improve their municipality's ability to be fair, inclusive, transparent and accountable. By strengthening the capacity of the participating teams and the networks available to them, this program aims to promote democracy and end poverty in all its forms in our partner communities.
Furthermore, the programme hopes to deliver:
- Gained skills and abilities to communicate and advocate on issues of inclusive governance
-Expanded local, regional, national and international network.
The countries involved are: Kenya, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia.
We are a non-partisan cross-sectoral platform to mobilize joint action around development projects in Clanwilliam.
Our mission is to strengthen the ability of all partners to deliver on their respective mandates through collaborative action.

Bokkoms - Hennie Visser

“Sien! Mevrou is klaar slimmer!”
