Clanwilliam in the Cederberg, is an outdoor adventurers playground, with bouldering and hiking trails for miles, add to that the perfect place to explore the wild flowers in flower season. Clanwilliam is situated at an elevation of 100 metres ,between the western slopes of the Cederberg mountains and the east bank of the Olifants River, which is impounded there by the Clanwilliam Dam. It is located just off the N7 national road, which runs from Cape Town to the Namibian border, and on the R364 road, which runs from Lamberts Bay to Calvinia. Clanwilliam is 230 kilometers from Cape Town by road.

Today is Earth Day and the theme for this year is "Restore our Earth" which focuses on the natural processes and emerging green technologies that can restore the world's ecosystems. To demonstrate support for Earth Day a few citizens of our town helped weeding the Ramskop Garden today. All the hands on these pics feature the helping hands of volunteers at the garden. Volunteers will continue to work in this garden. Please get involved with this project!

Although it is hard work, it is quite pleasant and rewarding to help get this garden in tiptop shape again. Even if you can come and help just for an hour, do so!
