Happy Holidays Everyone!

In this newsletter, I will answer some questions you might have on how much home staging costs, what kind of return you can get on your investment, and how it works.

Spend a Little and Make a Lot with Home Staging dicsusses why home staging is an investment rather than a cost, and what return on your investment you can expect. I was interviewed this week on Seward Public Radio's Market Minute show on this topic! I will include the interview after it is posted online in the next newsletter.

The second article, Faqs for Realtors on Home Staging- Part 2,  focuses on how Home Staging Works.

Spend a Little and Make a Lot with Home Staging

Spend a little and make a lot with home staging? How does that work?

Well, we all know that if we want to make money, we have to invest some money to get started. Whether it is stocks, mutual funds, a home, a business or any other investment, we need to spend a little to make a lot. The key is to pick an investment that we can get a good return on for the price we pay for it.

Home Staging is a marketing tool for selling your home that uses decorating to show off a home’s best features while downplaying its flaws. Done right, staging creates an emotional connection between home and buyer, leading to a faster sale at maximum value.

As a professional home stager, the first question I usually get from home sellers and Realtors is how much does home staging cost? A better question might be can home staging help me sell faster and for more! Think of home staging as an investment, rather than a cost. That investment will depend on the size of your home, if it is vacant or occupied, if the stager will do everything, or you will be doing some of the work.

How Home Staging Works-FAQ's for Realtors Part 2

Most Realtors have heard of home staging and how it can help sell a home faster and for more money but many Realtors still have questions. Here are answers to some common questions about how the process of home staging works.

What is home staging?

Home Staging is a marketing tool that uses decorating to show off a home’s best features while downplaying its flaws. Done right, staging creates an emotional connection between home and buyer, leading to a faster sale at maximum value.

Is staging just for vacant homes?

Home staging is for all homes, occupied or vacant. Staging a home with what a home seller already has is always the preferred choice, as it leads to greater savings on rental furniture and labor fees.

How long does it take to stage a home?

This varies based on the size of the home, what is needed to best market the property, and the experience of the stager.

Home Staging Tip of the Month

Use neutral colors on your walls to appeal to most buyers. Add pops of color in your decor to add warmth and interest, so your house is not so "neutral" that buyers forget it!
