This newsletter is introducing my website and online gallery, Doms.Art. Here you can see the carefully chosen works of art I have selected. It has long been my ambition to set up an art dealing business. Following my graduation I now have had the time to do so. These pieces aim to trigger your imagination and to enhance your homes; affordable yet hopefully tasteful and esoteric. The works range in price, period and medium. The quirky 19th Century de Savigny prints, one of my earliest purchases in 2017, are exquisite and rare, perfect for a bathroom or hallway. The Dorothea Tanning lithograph that I recently bought is an underestimated piece showing the talent of this American Surrealist artist who was neglected by art history. In the wake of her retrospective at Tate Modern in Spring 2019, it was a perfect time to buy this work.

Whilst I have a taste for 20th Century art and Modernists such as Tanning I am also constantly inspired by contemporary art and decorative pieces. Hence I have included ceramicist Cecilia Bicknell. I recently visited her home in Camberwell where her beautiful pieces were spread out on her kitchen table. Her works are minimal and stylish, whether using a bowl as a planter or simply having it as a stand alone work on your mantlepiece they are wonderful pieces to have in your home. I look forward to introducing you to other talented and inspiring artists in the future as I continue to seek out unusual works of art.

Cecilia Bicknell has been potting since her school days, where she was often found meddling with kilns and clay into the small hours. These days she works full time out of a studio in Peckham, endlessly experimenting with colour and texture. Influenced by an eclectic combination of paysanne French and Italian mid century ceramics to larger sculptural pieces, her work strives to be both practice and decorative; highly useable but also with a delicacy befitting a handmade, bespoke piece of ceramic art.
