Everything about the Festival that you need to know!
This is the Inner Harbor. The green building on the left is the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace hotel where many of the events of the Festival will take place.
About tickets
  • If you received tickets by mail, don't forget to pack them!
  • All of the tickets purchased after June 1st will be at the ticket office at the Renaissance Federal Hill room on the 5th floor.
  • Tickets are still available for all events except the Banquet and Harbor cruise.
  • Only the New Choreography Show and the Festival Choir Concert have reserved seating.
  • It is important to note the distance from the hotels to the venues, especially for the folk dance events and the Festival Choir Concert.
  • The ticket office accepts cash, checks, debit and credit cards.
  • The ticket office will be open from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and each day from 8;00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
About coming to Baltimore
Important information about transportation for the New Choreography Contest and the Festival Choir rehearsal and concert
  • The New Choreography Contest will be Saturday, July 1st, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lyric Opera House, 140 West Mt. Royal Avenue, Baltimore.
  • The rehearsal for the Festival Choir Concert will be Monday, July 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, 1212 Cathederal Street, Baltimore.
  • The Festival Choir Concert will be Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, 1212 Cathederal Street, Baltimore.
  • Both of these venues are about 2 miles from the Inner Harbor hotels. We are offering free shuttle buses, but it is very important to take note of the departure times, so that  you you arrive on time for the performances and rehearsal.
  • For both the New Choreography Contest and the Festival Choir Concert the busses will begin to leave at 13:30 from the Renaissance, the Sheraton and the Royal Sonesta Court hotels.
  • For the Festival Choir rehearsal the buses will leave at 8:15 from the Renaissance, the Sheratone and the Royal Sonesta Court hotels.
  • At both venues, the will be the possibility to enter the foyers and the bars will be open (except for the rehearsals!)
  • We expect Baltimore to be very hot and humid this weekend and do not advise walking these distances at the height of the afternoon. The performances will start on time.

Please note ...
The soccer games will begin at 10:00 a.m., not at 10:30 as earlier announced.
The time between the end of the Folk Dance Show and the Harbor Cruise is very short. You can board the ship at 7:30 p.m. and departure will be no later than 8:30 p.m.. Heavy apps are included and there is a cash bar. The cruise is sold out, but if you have a ticket, don't miss the boat!
You can reserve tables of 10. The reservations sheets will be at the Information Desk. The banquet will be in a different ballroom from the Festival Ball. Reserve tables for that separately.

Is Baltimore ready for "Nemiers"?

The Washington DC Latvian kids group N e m i e r s will entertain you with some popular Latvian rock music.
The band members are: Viktors Allen (bass guitar), Dāvids Jansons (drums), Vilis Kuškēvics
(keyboard), Kristīne Pāža (vocals).

N e m i e r s will perform during the Festival on the PRINTFUL stage on the 5. floor of the Renaissance Harborplace hotel.

Saturday, July 1, 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m.
Monday, July 3rd at 12:00 noon. 

Help needed!

We are still seeking volunteers to be ticket takers, to man the information and souvenir booths, and to help with other tasks. If  you can spare a few hours during the Festival, sign up. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
