Introducing Phillipa Riddiford

We are proud to welcome Phillipa Riddiford to our stable of talented and diverse printmaking artists, as we continue to build our exciting new contemporary collection. Philippa is a Melbourne based artist with a design and fashion background. Her striking, bold and colourful abstractions play with colour, form and pattern and show her unrelenting obsessiveness with the creative process. Philippa combines traditional painting & drawing techniques with new technologies to create her digital artwork. 'My computer is to me what a canvas is to a traditional painter.' All images are printed on fine art paper using archival pigment inks and are in limited editions of 25.

Jenny Kitchener's Artist Books
We are very pleased to have Jenny's artist books in stock, available for the first time in Melbourne. Jenny Kitchener is known for her intricate insect motifs that she combines with symbols and elements from the natural world to create narratives relating to the cycle of life, interwoven with personal stories.

"I often feature insects in my work. I identify with them and feel that they have a lot to teach us. During the course of their lives they go through quite obvious changes in the form of metamorphosis. I often use this idea of change as a metaphor in my prints."
