This week got away from us a bit and we weren't able to put together a full and complete list of craft brewery events happening in Boulder County this week, but we did want to share today's "Frothy Five" with you. If you are unfamiliar with the Frothy Five, every week, Lisa chooses five of the most exciting events happening in Boulder's craft breweries and shares those on our website.  While you can find the full archive of the articles here, we have included today's Frothy Five in place of the full list of events. Cheers and Slainte, Boulder!
The Frothy Five: Week of 2/17/17

We hope you've been enjoying the sunshine and summer temperatures out there this past week, Boulder! Don't get us wrong, we love it, but we also aren't quite ready to give up our dark and warming winter stouts and porters quite yet! Be sure to make your way to Mountain Sun locations to enjoy the second half of Stout Month, as well as Wild Woods Brewery for Frozen February, and indulge in all the delicious and insanely flavorful brews that our county's brewers are treating us to. Here are our picks at Beer in Boulder for five of the most exciting craft beer events happening in the county this week.

Irish Blessing Release Party at Boulder Beer Company
Friday, February 17th, from 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM (HAPPENING NOW!)
Valentine's Day is over and the next major holiday that Boulder breweries have on their docket to celebrate is St. Patrick's Day in just a little under a month! Boulder Beer Company is getting a head start on the party with the release of their oak-aged coffee stout, the Irish Blessing, today. Stop by the taproom for a Friday night filled with great company, delicious Irish beer, Irish jokes galore, and a toast competition. Slainte!

New Beer Release: Palisade Reunion Batch No. 2 at Powder Keg Brewing Company
Saturday, February 18th, from 12:00 - 5:00 PM
While we're still reveling in all the glory that is Stout Month in the craft beer world, the unseasonably warm weather this week does have us at least starting to look ahead (and forward!) to some of the fruity and refreshing brews coming our way in the spring and summer. This Saturday, enjoy the release of the second batch of Powder Keg Brewing Company's Palisade Reunion, a golden sour beer aged with even more peaches than ever before. Stop by and enjoy this harbinger of the warm months to come!

3rd Anniversary Celebration at 300 Suns Brewing Company
Saturday, February 18th, from 12:00 - 10:00 PM
300 Suns Brewing Company is celebrating their third year of operations in Longmont this Saturday, and they are absolutely, completely, unbelievably spoiling their loyal patrons with some amazing beer releases and giveaways during the event! Check out three limited edition beer releases (including a Grapefruit Gose and Barrel-Aged Blackberry IPA), three giveaways of small batch bottled beers, and three hours of free chile bowls from Casa Alvarez. Cheers to you, 300 Suns, and to many more anniversaries to come!

New Beer Release: Barrel-Aged Series Release of Nox Reposado at Avery Brewing Company
Sunday, February 19th, from 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Strap in and hold on, because Avery Brewing Company has yet another ridiculous Barrel-Aged Series release for us this Sunday, the Nox Reposado. This insanely flavorful, smokey and sweet dark tequila sour will be tapped for sampling, and a variety of other cellared barrel-aged favorites from the past will also be on sale (you guys know the drill, quantities are limited!). Don't miss some of the most exciting beer action in the county in the Avery taproom this weekend.

Cheese & Beer Pairing at Wild Woods Brewery
Tuesday, February 21st, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM
Frozen February is still in full swing at Wild Woods Brewery here in Boulder, and this coming Tuesday they are hosting a cheese and beer pairing in their taproom in conjunction with Boulder's Le Frigo. Be sure to RSVP ahead of time to enjoy a four-part imperial beer and specialty cheese selection AND the new Wild Woods Belgian Quad (aged on dates), which will be getting released too!

Until our next flight. Cheers!
