Racist comments hurled at Windsor County selectman by anti-ICE advocates

August 2, 2019 - In an exceedingly ugly display of racism, supporters of illegal immigration hurled racial epithets at an African-American selectman for the town of Hartford (White River Junction) for disagreeing about a proposed ordinance opposing ICE and the Department of Homeland Security. 

The Valley News wrote the story, which was reprinted by VT Digger. You can read all about it in today's Vermont Water Cooler. As always your comments are very welcome - Water Cooler exists so that Vermonters have a "free" place to air their comments. 

Race also was on the agenda at the Milton Board of Selectmen - this time, it was a selectman's question about a local group that wants to raise a Black Lives Matter flag, the Milton Independent reports.
