Have a look at our new Canterbury Flood Imagery Register for collections of oblique and vertical, aerial and ground photos taken during (or following) past flood events in Canterbury.


The Lyttelton Port Recovery Plan has been approved!
The mapped areas included in this Recovery Plan are now available here on Canterbury Maps and available for download from our Open Data Portal. 

The Canterbury Employment Estimates applications has been updated with the latest figures for 2015. This interactive time enabled application shows how employment has changed in the Canterbury Region since 2000.

What's coming...

In the new year we will be releasing a new improved map viewer. This new viewer has been created using the Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, a new generation of JavaScript application being developed to replace the ArcGIS Flex and Silverlight viewers like the Canterbury Maps Advanced ViewerFor further technical information about Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS check out Esri’s Roadmap for Web Developers.

New LiDAR has been captured in the Selwyn District and will be available on Canterbury Maps very soon...
