There's lots of neat sound-heavy performance things at CWOS this weekend. Derek Piotr is doing ambient soundscapery to accompany an installation by Debbie Hesse on Saturday afternoon 12-4. Musical Intervention is doing something involving recovering addicts doing recordings right in front of you (my first draft of that sentence included the phrase 'laying down tracks' but that seems in poor taste). There's some song and dance thing inspired by Plato’s symposium but like with healthcare workers? Art be crazy, friends. Sam Moth will be showing artwork alongside her Momma Moth all weekend long (Sat & Sun 12-6) and Sam will be performing there with a v special guest (😉😉😉) Sunday around 3, of with more below. That just scratches the surface, peep the deets: CWOS Alternative Space Weekend

Light Upon Blight Scores Faust
For the fourth year running, LUB will be improvising a live score to an old spoopy movie. This year it's Murnau's 1926 take on the classic German deal-with-the-devil tale of Dr. Faust. The lineup: Cedrone and Gorry on twin axe attack, Slattery (sp?) on upright bass, Riccio on drums, and a very excited yrstrly on tapes, gizmos, and Nastanovichian auxillary percussion (my dream role in any band -- if your band needs a Bob Nastanovich [it does], hmu. DEBRIS SLIDE!).
