April 2017

Good afternoon Tamara,

With finally bad weather behind us, we are ready to continue our beach cleaning and profiling works at several locations on Palm Jumeirah and JBR in Dubai. More below about the effects of the recent heavy rains and winds on our local beaches and coastal areas.

Last week, we completed marine piling for a new private marina in Abu Dhabi, offering berthing space for smaller yachts. All piles were sleeved with UHMW-PE sleeves to expand their lifespan and reduce maintenance significantly.

We also added six more navigation buoys to our existing UV-stabilized virgin polyethylene range, suitable for nearshore, ocean and offshore locations.

Last but not least, a very special thanks to Big Project Middle East for sitting down with our Division Manager, Darko Matijas. The 'Building On The Waters' article - outlining the scope for marine piling in the local market - can be viewed here

Beach Cleaning After Recent Heavy Rains And Winds In The UAE

The last 10 days brought a lot of rain, wind and road closures across the country. Some areas along the UAE coastline suffered beach erosion and are covered by debris. What can be done to prevent further deterioration?

We offer several solutions to help control beach erosion and protect beaches from further damage. There is no one fit-for-all solution, as each situation requires a unique approach, depending on the condition of the beach. VIEW BLOG

Geosynthetic Containers For Coastal Protection

There is an increasing demand for coastal structures to be designed and constructed using alternative, sustainable methods rather than traditional rock. Sand-filled geosynthetic containers are most commonly used to protect shorelines, rebuild beaches and create multifunction artificial reefs.

We installed a retaining wall using sand-filled geosynthetic containers, to protect a hotel's playground from further erosion.

The Five Most Frequently Asked Questions About Beach Cleaning

We want to give you a quick and easy way to understand our beach cleaning services, and of course, that begins with reading the answers to the five most common questions we receive from our clients and prospects.

Comparison Between Screening And Raking Machines

Cherrington machines operate differently from walk-behind and other models. The latter rake beaches only, barely removing stones and large debris, while Cherrington machines screen beaches, leaving almost nothing behind.
