Dear friends,

On September 8, we will join the tens of thousands of people across the world rising up to demand bold climate action. From marches and community festivals, to rallies and more, people are demanding that our elected leaders take action against the encroaching dangers of climate change. Here in San Francisco, thousands will Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice. In a historic first, veganic farmers will lead a contingent at a climate march.

Agriculture is a major driver of global warming and we can not afford to leave it out of the discussion. The few who are speaking about agriculture are increasingly pushing for false solutions: more tech-fixes from the business sector, more grazing from ranchers and environmental organizations.

Let's counter the increasingly common belief that sustainable agriculture requires animal exploitation. Take this opportunity to march with veganic farmers from around North America. Let's lift the voices of those whose hands are in the ground and who are already showing us what a climate-friendly food system looks like.

RSVP to march on September 8
If you can't join us, you can still get people out. Invite your friends to our Facebook event and follow us on social media the day of the march. We will be using the hashtag #VeganicForClimate.

That's not all! The day after the march, we will host Rise for Climate: Food, Agriculture and the Environment. This one-day conference will take advantage of the presence of thousands of climate activists in the city to build awareness about the connections between what we eat, how we grow food and the climate crisis. It will include a round-table conversation with veganic farmers who are on the front line of fighting climate change and will close out the weekend with a vegan BBQ.

If you’ve been waiting for your moment to join the movement, this is it. RSVP now for Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice.

See you in the streets!
