Golf is of course the reason that we are all members of this great golf club. The course is in great condition and is already recovering from the hardships of our Cheshire winter. Be sure to take part in at least one of the listed events.

Junior Stableford Ladies Centenary Trophy

The inaugural competition was played on Saturday 16th April 2022 where Lady Captain, Linda Stevens, representing the Ladies at Astbury Golf Club, presented the new trophy to Jane Bozon, the Junior Organiser with members of the Juniors Section in attendance.

The Astbury Centenary started with the Junior Section playing for their New Trophy. This is a new trophy for the Juniors Section and is to be played for in an 18 hole Stableford competition played each year in April, our Centenary Month.
The Ladies Section has chosen to sponsor this competition each year and have donated the trophy which will be presented at the Juniors Annual Prize Presentation in the autumn.

The winner of the trophy for 2022 was Joseph McAllister with 43 points.
Ladies Centenary Competition.
It was 100 years to the day since Astbury Golf Club was established, and the Ladies section of Astbury Golf Club celebrated the occasion in considerable style. Many of the Ladies dressed to impress in circa 1922 styles, making the event quite a spectacle.
Played competitively for fun and flowers an 18 hole Texas Scramble was the competition of the day. The event culminated in tea and scones followed by the prize giving and a fancy dress parade.
The Captain Dr Mike Sumner complemented and thanked the Ladies section of Astbury Golf Club for all that they do for the club. He did have the unenviable task of judging the fancy dress parade. This was in two parts, Ladies who played in there costumes and Ladies who dressed for tea and scones. Referred to affectionally on the day as the Players and Posers
