The SQE: What it means, the Welsh language & have your say

LocationThe Village Hotel Swansea, Langdon Road, Swansea, SA1 8QY

The SRA is looking to speak to law firms and in-house legal teams around the country about their views on assessing skills in the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) – the new, licensing examination for solicitors of England and Wales coming in autumn 2021. It would like to hear the views of employers in and around Wales.

At the roundtable event, you can:

  • Find out more about what the SQE will mean for your organisation and how you recruit and train your future solicitors.
  • Help us develop our approach by telling us what works for you as employers
  • Explore the options for testing skills
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions about the SQE.

The SRA is yet to make a decision about offering the SQE in the Welsh language, and it would like to get your views on what this might mean to you and your clients.
