my.Flow, Newsletter iv, 08.09.2016

Greetings Menstruation Enthusiasts,

As summer nears its close, we’ve got a lot to catch you up on. In the wake of our avalanche of media coverage, we’ve been honing in on our submarkets and growing rapidly; bringing two gynecologists and business & industrial design advisors into the my.Flow family, and starting talks with several interested venture capital funds and angel investors. Amanda also gave a talk on Obliterating Menstrual Anxiety and Shame in New Orleans.

On top of attracting attention, our launch prototype has given us some great feedback from potential customers, allowing us to continue improving our design based on your input. To make your voice heard on some of the most controversial features of my.Flow (including its physical connection), fill out our quick survey!

Adventures in Moneyland

Our 132 videos and articles (check out these fun ones more recently published) from all over the world turned some heads in the VC community, resulting in some funds approaching us to talk about partnerships. Two angel investors have also independently provided verbal confirmation of interest in our next funding round. We’re also in the final round of Hackaday’s 2016 prize, which awards up to $150k to cool projects like ours, all while seeking out many governmental and private grants, and competing in startup competitions all over the Bay.

The my.Flow Family Grows

We're excited to announce the newest members of our team: veteran gynecologists Dr. Jonathan Jakus and Dr. Ashlesha Patel. Their expertise will be invaluable to us, allowing us to more easily navigate the path to success as a medical device, and providing a professional medical influence to the design of our product. They are excited to be part of the my.Flow mission, and equally thrilled to have them on board. We’re also getting ready to say goodbye to our summer interns Katherine and Vyshaali, as they start their MEng degrees at Cal (Go Bears!); we’ve been lucky to have them, even for such a limited time.

As we trek forward on the road to Peace of Mind. Period, we are putting together focus groups for roundtable discussions and 1-on-1 interviews. If you’d like to be a part of those, just reply to this email.

Thanks for reading! As always, feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or concerns. In our next newsletter, get ready to hear about beta testing...

Love and Insight,
Team my.Flow
