The Paramount in Huntington, New York Cracks Top 5 Worldwide Club Venues for 2017!

Huntington, N.Y. (Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 @ 5 PM) – Pollstar Magazine, a leading publication in the concert industry, ranked The Paramount, In Concert with TD, #5 in the world for Club Venues, based on year-end ticket sales.  Breaking Top 5, only a few short years since opening, has been achieved by a variety of factors.  Among them: booking an events calendar of nearly 200 shows a year; garnering national media attention; receiving positive support from the community; and employing the hardest working staff in the industry.

Brian Doyle, co-owner of The Paramount, remarked “Our diverse bookings are a key to our success.  Our customers enjoy the experience of coming back to the room time and again, as we have booked all types of genres of music and developed series catered to their eclectic tastes: from punk rock to country, jazz to hip-hop, family shows to comedy, pop to oldies, heavy metal to boxing, classic rock to theater performances, and everything in between” he continued.  “In addition, the vibe and the sound of the venue creates an experience for our guests that is addicting and unmatched”, he concluded.

Certainly, it helped to have Billy Joel come out of retirement to play the room, and then a few years later return to be on stage with his own tribute band (Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot) – just for fun!  Or maybe it was Ed Sheeran playing a surprise pop-up show over July 4th weekend, then gushing about the venue with Howard Stern, and just about everyone who would listen, that we were the best place to play in the world.  Similarly, world famous artists like Rod Stewart, Steely Dan, Jeff Beck, Pitbull, Slash, John Fogerty and so many more, have all paid a visit to the Town of Huntington to perform at The Paramount.  Up-and-coming artists have also started their touring careers at the venue, including: Lil Uzi Vert, Shawn Mendes, Ghost, Meghan Trainor, Twenty-One Pilots, Thomas Rhett and others, all of whom have gone on to have award winning music careers.

The Paramount’s Comedy Series has featured many of the biggest comics on the planet – such as Kevin James, Sebastian Maniscalco, Kevin Hart, The Impractical Jokers, Jim Breuer & Joan Rivers, just to name a few, with some playing multiple shows, filming television specials and hosting residencies.  The Paramount Tribute Series has brought the best cover bands from around the country to Long Island such as: Back to The Eighties Show with Jessie’s Girl, Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot, Dark Star Orchestra and Get The Led Out, with many others, all who perform regularly to sold-out audiences on Long Island.

Additionally, The Paramount was the launching pad of boxer Chris Algieri, who fought multiple nationally televised boxing matches from his hometown venue as part of Joe DeGuardia’s STAR Boxing series, on the way to a title fight with Manny Pacquiao.  Joe DeGuardia’s STAR Boxing has promoted nearly 30 “Rockin’ Fights” matches at the venue since opening.  The Paramount has been the location for a number of made-for-TV specials, movies, cable television shows and concerts, filmed for national broadcast channels like: MTV, VH-1, AXS, FUSE and EPIX.  The Paramount even hosted a FOX News Presidential Town Hall.

As Long Island, New York has always been a hotbed of music, the venue has hosted some of the great local bands in the music scene who also call our market home like: Envy On The Coast, Glassjaw, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside & The Sleeping.  The Paramount is also proudest to be able to support new local Long Island artists such as: Jon Bellion, Oogee Wawa, Nick Tangorra, Oak & Ash, and others with slots as local opening acts or as headliners, to help further their careers and gain new fans.  Not only has the venue booked all types of music and entertainment, The Paramount has also been one the hottest new venues on Long Island for private events.  With over 100 Special Events booked annually, the venue was nominated in local media as one of the most unique places to host your wedding.

While these lightning in a bottle moments, great reviews and happy accidents, helped to make the venue world famous, The Paramount always intended to provide Long Islanders with a concert venue unlike any other.  The venue’s owners: Dominic Catoggio, Brian Doyle, Stephen Ubertini and Jim Condron, envisioned a place where the guests who come to the events and the artists who play there, both feel at home.  They wanted to create a destination for music lovers, and those who enjoy the arts, to have memorable once-in-a-lifetime experiences.  They dreamed of bringing the biggest names to an intimate venue, with unique features that other clubs simply did not provide.

From impeccable backstage accommodations, to The Founder’s Room - a 1920’s speakeasy themed VIP members-only club, to a radio studio adjoining the venue programmed by Connoisseur Media Long Island - where artists are interviewed and perform acoustically street side before their concert.  The Paramount always planned on being the best club venue in the world and this latest Pollstar ranking has the venue saying…wait until you see what we do next!
