Welcome to our first Newsletter

The aim of this newsletter is to give you some headlines and highlights as our new winter season starts.

A very warm welcome awaits you at our Sunday evening services at The Little Church.

Thousands of people have worshipped there since our chaplaincy programme started thirty seasons ago, finding the love of the Lord Jesus and warmth of Christian fellowship. Do join us.

The theme for our Sunday evening services this season will be examples of Faith from Hebrews 11, which we hope you will find helpful and encouraging.

Open Forum
After our first service on Sunday 13th December
there is an opportunity to share our plans for the season, hear suggestions
and co-opt the help of volunteers to join various rosters.
Please come along to the service (starting at 6.00 p.m.) and stay on for the meeting if you can.

This year both services will be held at the Catholic Church
ESC Concert with Noel Tredinnick

A concert in the Catholic church is being planned for the evening of 20th February, starting at 7.30pm. Led by Noel Tredinnick, a professional Christian musician, he will be playing, together with other musicians and singers. We hope a Swiss brass ensemble will also take part. Noel leads the All Souls Langham Place orchestra, which regularly fills the Royal Albert Hall.
Our ESC concert will be a marvellous opportunity to raise the profile of ESC locally. Details to follow, but in the meantime, please keep the date free and mention it to friends.
Prayer Pointers
As we embark on the thirtieth winter season of the Verbier chaplaincy programme,
please pray that the Lord will:

- bless all our preparations and activities this winter, including our church
services and our witness in the town and on the ski slopes.

- bring the love, grace and truth of Jesus Christ to everyone who comes
into contact with ESC during the season.

- provide His wisdom as we plan to expand our ESC activities and outreach.
With our best wishes for a very Happy Christmas
 and a Peaceful New Year
