Dear All,

I hope like me everyone enjoyed the Carnival. LEAP had a very successful stand and gave away all 200 packets of wildflower seeds, sold quite a few of Jackie's 'bees' and other knitted insects, and some wonderful wildlife photos taken by Ben. Many thanks to all those who helped.

On Saturday (4th September) we will hold our first footpath working party for some time! The weather looks ideal at the moment; let's hope it stays that way. We will be clearing footpath 512 between Wykehurst Lane and Coneyhurst Lane, see here for a location map:

We will meet at 10am where the path meets Wykehurst Lane, and will finish around midday.

Because the pandemic is not over yet, I will ask you to bring your own refreshments. To avoid sharing please you could also bring shears, secateurs and loppers, we have a few you can borrow if you don't have them. Masks are not needed because we will be outside, but some hand sanitiser might be useful.

There are various other paths that need attention in the parish, although next month we must clear the pond. Please reply to this email with your suggestions for which footpaths could be done later in the year.

All the best,
