Interview with Bill Kingston, Owner & CEO of CrazyDog T-shirts

After donating 3,500 new t-shirts to our program in Kenya, owner and CEO of CrazyDog T-shirts Bill Kingston, shared with us why he and his company support the work of 2020 MicroClinic Initiative. Over 300 healthy babies born in Kakamega County since June

Since the launch of our program in Kakamega County at the beginning of the summer, more than 300 healthy babies have been born in the facilities where our program operates, and the number of mothers coming into our facilities continues to grow as news of Operation Karibu spreads. That's all thanks to you! We'll be updating you regularly as our program grows and reaches more families in Kenya.

Meet Jemima Wangui

Jemima is the head seamstress in Kenya sewing t-shirts into baby clothes for Operation Karibu. As the fastest and most efficient seamstress on our production team, Jemima has become a leader in the group, training others to increase their own production numbers and quality. We are so thankful for her hard work and dedication. Every month production improves, in large part, because of Jemima.

"My name is Jemima Wangui. I am a mother of four, and I live in Kiambu County. I have been working with Operation Karibu for a while now, and I can confidently say that the program has taken the best course to ensure all mothers in the community have safe deliveries and their new borns are also given the best care."
Volunteers of the Month: Luis and Veronique Bolinao

This month we would like to recognize our friends Luis and Veronique for their outstanding efforts in volunteering for 2020 MicroClinic Initiative over the last year. Having joined us for many days of sorting and packing clothes to send to Kenya, they know so much about the kinds of packages we offer Operation Karibu mothers. They've participated in focus groups to test our maternal health game, and, in doing so, offered us great ideas as to how we might best improve our card game. They've joined us for group discussions, "friendraisers," and really almost any event we've ever asked them to attend. We're grateful to know Luis and Veronique and to call them friends of our organization!

Thank you for all your time, effort, and continued support!
