Dedicated to the health of mothers and their families in Kenya
The Story of Peter
Peter is 79 years old and lives in Kiambu County, Kenya, very close to our Gathunguri Hub. Peter is both hypertensive and diabetic. Our staff visited him at his home, brought him his medication refills, tested his blood pressure and glucose levels, and are continuing to monitor his numbers. Diabetes and high blood pressure can be very dangerous, especially when left untreated, so we are doing our job to ensure Peter receives proper preventive care.
With of all of your donations and support, we will continue offering these services to those most in need.
Thank You for Your Unwavering Support!
All of us at 2020 MicroClinic want to say thank you so much for all of your donations to our 2019 Mother's Day Campaign. With everyone's help, we came within $270 of our goal. This will make a huge impact in Kenya. We would not be where we are today without all of your support and we are truly grateful.
Fundraising for Babies
We have not one, but TWO, fundraisers in the planning stages! If you live in the New York or Los Angeles area, we'd love to have you come out and support 2020 MicroClinic. See event details below:
1. Bowling for Babies - PINZ in Studio City, CA on Sunday, September 15, 2019
2. Birdies for Babies - Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY on Monday, September 23, 2019
Proceeds from both fundraisers will go towards helping mothers and their families in rural Kenya receive the health care they deserve. We will be able to provide them with more health screenings, easier access to medication, and health education.
We will be sending out details on each event in the months ahead, so be on the lookout!
Donor of the Month: Tami Rokni
We have so many wonderful supporters and we like to dedicate a portion of our newsletter to a special Donor of the Month. For the month of May, we received a very generous donation from Tami and we want to sincerely thank her for her contribution. Not only did Tami donate her funds, but she donated many hours of her time to us as well.
As said beautifully by Tami, "Thank you, for giving me this opportunity to make a tangible statement in support of my beliefs and for providing us all with a way to honor the families within our global community. Through this simple act of donating funds for lifesaving healthcare for young mothers and their children, I can make a difference that will last for generations to come."
Every single donation makes an impact on the lives of mothers, babies, and the elderly living in rural areas of Kenya who would not otherwise be able to access proper healthcare. Thank you so much, Tami!
