ANNOUNCEMENTS

New and Improved Blessing Box
We have installed a new Blessing Box in the front of the church (in the same place as the old one). It is seeing a lot of use these days. We would like to keep it replenished for any who need assistance. Keep in mind that it is not a working refrigerator so if you'd like to help, nonperishable foods and supplies are still best!
Send Me Your Proclaimer Items!

Hi my name is Kara Bradford and I am taking over the Proclaimer from here on out! If you have an announcement or anything you'd like included in the Proclaimer, please send it my way! We are planning on getting publications out on Thursday mornings so plan to get any articles to me by Wednesday night. Also, enjoy this picture of me and my dog, Tucker!

You can reach me at poplogan3@gmail.com or (801) 556-8367

Pastor Emily is most reachable on her cell phone (720-579-8229) or through email (pastoremily.princeofpeace@gmail.com). Please feel free to connect anytime. Pastor Emily's typical days off are Friday and Saturday, and she does not check her phone or work email during her time off. However, should you need to reach her in an emergency please call and leave a message on her cell phone and she will connect with you as quickly as possible.
COVID-19 UPDATES

Stop The Spread
Notice from Bear River Health Department:
"With the recent statewide increase of the average daily coronavirus cases, Utah's hospital capacity is being strained. As such, we ask our residents to individually do their part to reduce the spread of the illness. We remind everyone to practice social distancing, stay home when sick, wash your hands and wear a mask. As we move indoors and begin to gather in small groups for the holidays, keep your defenses up and practice good health hygiene. Additionally, we continue to remind those who are 65 and over, are immune-compromised, or have some sort of underlying health condition to protect themselves by minimizing contact with others. These are effective tools to use to ensure our healthcare system is not overwhelmed. Our healthcare workers are dedicated professionals who are committed to protecting the health of our community. We encourage everyone to take individual responsibility to help our healthcare system by taking these preventative actions that are effective in reducing the spread of the virus."

UPCOMING EVENTS
2021 Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly
The 2021 Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly is coming up and will take place via Zoom on April 29-May 1st.
At this year's assembly, we will elect a new synod vice president. The Nominating Committee of the Rocky Mountain Synod invites members of congregations to prayerfully consider if God is calling them to serve as the Vice President of our Synod. For more information, click here!

Continuing Small Group!
During the season of Lent we will continue to gather on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for Evening Prayer. We will be using a service found in Common Prayer; a Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals (Pocket Edition) which was included in your Lent Home Altar Kit. The service begins on page 33. You are invited to peruse the service, as well as the rest of the book over the course of this week. Get familiar with the patterns of worship, the daily offices, and the prayers that are offered in this resource and consider how it may add to your Lenten discipline and your at home worship and prayer.
Giving During COVID-19
We are truly thankful for your continued support of Prince of Peace during this challenging time. Here are a few ways to make a contribution while social distancing:

1) Write a check and mail it to the church.
2) Use your bank’s bill pay option and they will mail a check to the church.
3) At this time, the only way to do a direct deposit to the church account is to sign up for
Simply Giving through the company Vanco. Prince of Peace has been working with this
company for quite awhile with no problems. They do charge a percentage fee to the church for this service. There is a form you need to fill out; and the Financial Secretary can set it up. The form asks for name, address, Amount and frequency of contribution and your bank account info.(I will try and attach a pdf of the form for viewing. To protect your personal information, please do not email the form to me or the church).
4) FYI: For the safety of the counters:
A) If you are mailing a contribution, please only use water or tape for sealing the
envelope or use a self‐sealing envelope.
B) For right now, please no cash.

5) If you need to talk to me my phone numbers are in the directory.

Please Stay Safe!
In the Peace of Christ,

Gini Anderson
Financial Secretary
