Free Library Now Open!
We upcycled the old blessing box, and transformed it into a functional free library. We are now registered, so you can begin putting books in for the community.
Financial Secretary Position Open!!
We are in need of a new Financial Secretary. This is a volunteer position that works with ChurchTrac software and works closely with the financial team and treasurer. If you want more details, contact Pastor Emily.

WORSHIP MINISTRY NEWS
We're excited to announce Hybrid Worship begins this - SUNDAY, MAY 23RD @ 9:30AM - in the Sanctuary due to high possibility of rain. In coming weeks, we plan to worship outside on the South Lawn. You may want to bring your chair, canopy (if you have one) or umbrella, sunblock, water, mask, and elements for communion (bread/cracker & wine or other liquid). You are welcome to bring your own hymnal, but we will provide a cart of hymnals that will be sanitized between services.

This Sunday is also Day of Pentecost so be sure and wear RED! This will be an exciting day for PoP! We look forward to welcoming you back, outdoors, to PoP. We will continue to hold worship outdoors throughout the summer and will also continue to Zoom. We hope to see you on the 23rd!

God's peace,
The Worship Ministry Team
Garden Task Force
The second PoP Garden Task Team will be held on May 24th at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary (with Zoom backup if necessary). Several of you have already expressed your desire to be on this team, and we thank you! If you’ve been thinking about it and not yet committed, we welcome you to attend our next meeting. Click here to read more.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congrats to Kimberly Lott!
Congratulations to Kimberly Lott on being awarded the Teaching Excellence Award at Utah State University. This is an incredible achievement, and we couldn't be more proud.
New and Improved Blessing Box
We have installed a new Blessing Box in the front of the church (in the same place as the old one). It is seeing a lot of use these days. We would like to keep it replenished for any who need assistance. Keep in mind that it is not a working refrigerator so if you'd like to help, nonperishable foods and supplies are still best!
Pastor Emily is most reachable on her cell phone (720-579-8229) or through email (pastoremily.princeofpeace@gmail.com). Please feel free to connect anytime. Pastor Emily's typical days off are Friday and Saturday, and she does not check her phone or work email during her time off. However, should you need to reach her in an emergency please call and leave a message on her cell phone and she will connect with you as quickly as possible.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Congratulations Mark!
For those available to attend, Mark Latvokoski's Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at 7 p.m. at Lion's Park West Picnic Pavilion, 100 N. 500 E., Hyde Park, Utah. Let's support one of our own in this wonderful achievement.

From Julie Latvakoski:
"You're invited to Mark's Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Wednesday, May 26, at 7 PM. See attached. Mark earned his Eagle Scout in November 2021, but we've been waiting for warm weather to award him and to celebrate his achievement. He's also graduating from InTech Collegiate Academy on Monday as an honor student, having taken eight USU classes as part of their early college program. Probably by the time you read this, he, along with Katie, will also have just competed at the State Track and Field Championships in the 3200 m for Green Canyon High School, where he has had a great season as a varsity athlete and distance track team captain. We are so proud!"

Congratulations Mark on several honorable achievements. We are so proud to know you!
No Small Group This Week!
Small Group Worship is cancelled this week on Wednesday, May 26th so we can support one of our own, Mark Latvokoski in the honorable achievement of earning the Eagle Scout Award. For those available to attend, Mark Latvokoski's Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at 7 p.m. at Lion's Park West Picnic Pavilion, 100 N. 500 E., Hyde Park, Utah. Small Group Worship will resume on June 2nd at 7 p.m.
Giving During COVID-19
We are truly thankful for your continued support of Prince of Peace during this challenging time. Here are a few ways to make a contribution while social distancing:

1) Write a check and mail it to the church.
2) Use your bank’s bill pay option and they will mail a check to the church.
3) At this time, the only way to do a direct deposit to the church account is to sign up for
Simply Giving through the company Vanco. Prince of Peace has been working with this
company for quite awhile with no problems. They do charge a percentage fee to the church for this service. There is a form you need to fill out; and the Financial Secretary can set it up. The form asks for name, address, Amount and frequency of contribution and your bank account info.(I will try and attach a pdf of the form for viewing. To protect your personal information, please do not email the form to me or the church).
4) FYI: For the safety of the counters:
A) If you are mailing a contribution, please only use water or tape for sealing the
envelope or use a self‐sealing envelope.
B) For right now, please no cash.

5) If you need to talk to me my phone numbers are in the directory.

Please Stay Safe!
In the Peace of Christ,

Gini Anderson
Financial Secretary
