Greetings Friends

Welcome to the season of Lent. Here is what is coming up at church the week of March 14th. Daylight Savings begins tomorrow so be sure to set your clocks forward or you might miss church!

Sunday Worship

We will worship this Sunday on Zoom for the 4th Sunday of Lent; the link to join this Sunday's meeting is below. The worship bulletin will be sent shortly. When you receive it, I invite you to either print it or have it ready on your computer to follow along with the service. We are celebrating communion so be sure to have your communion elements ready to go.

Before worship begins at 9:30 a.m. take a few intentional moments. Set your space. Light your candle. Set aside this time to be with your community and with God in a time of worship, praise and prayer.

Our Hymn of the Day this Sunday is "Now Behold the Lamb" which, while included in our ELW hymnal ,is native to the Black church and the gospel/spiritual genre. While we could sing this hymn on our own, it is perhaps a more rich experience to sing with those in the tradition from which this piece arose. To that end, I invite you to view this video prior to worship so that you might familiarize yourselves with the style of the song and to then sing along when we play the video in Sunday worship and enjoy the beauty of communities of faith singing together.
