Welcoming Dr. Annesa Cheek as President

President Cheek's journey at Frederick Community College begins Friday!

Dr. Annesa Cheek will begin as the 11th President of Frederick Community College on Friday, July 1. She was selected to serve as President by the FCC Board of Trustees after an extensive interview process earlier this year that included open forums with students, faculty, staff, and community leaders.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Cheek joining our College community and we hope you'll help us welcome her to FCC and to Frederick when you see her around campus.

Words From Our Incoming President

Dear Students and Employees of Frederick Community College,

I am counting down the days until I start at FCC - only two more to go! I am excited about so many things related to my pending transition, and am especially looking forward to the chance to hear from all of you.

As your new president and as I become one of the newest members of the FCC community, my priority will be connecting and engaging with as many of you as possible. I need to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it. Your input and perspective will be vital parts of my orientation process.

I will be sharing more information with you over the coming weeks about my transition plan but for now, please know it is an honor to be joining the illustrious FCC! I am grateful for this opportunity to serve.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Dr. Annesa Cheek
