Sponsorship opportunity

With 200 nystagmus families expected to join us for Open Day 2018 this is the biggest nystagmus event in the country and an amazing sponsorship opportunity for any company supplying goods or services to the visually impaired population. Open Day is also the charity's biggest annual expense. By seeking sponsorship, we hope to be able to redirect more of your hard earned cash from fundraising, donations and membership subscriptions into research. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in sponsoring our event, please contact us.

Final call for sledging and skiing this summer

There are just a few places left for sledging and skiing at our two Snow Dome events this summer. You can join the Outspan Rebels VI ski team and their head coach, Charlotte Evans MBE along with a host of other skiers and guides for a fun day on the slopes for all the family. Plus - there are medals at the end for all VI skiers!

Please join our Nystagmus in the Open thunderclap!

At 12 midday on Wednesday 20 June, with your support, we can get #nystagmusintheopen trending on social media. All you need to do is sign up from your Facebook or Twitter account (you can do both!) and there'll be a nystagmus thunderclap rippling across the world.

The Big Blind Walk - a third of the way there

Julian has been walking now for almost three weeks and today he crosses from Shropshire into Cheshire. Please get out there on the route to cheer him on if you can. He's already been joined by several Nystagmus Network members and supporters, and at least one countess (!) with more joining him when he reaches Carlisle, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands. Charity trustee, Marie and her son will be joining him at the weekend, so watch out for them, too, in their Nystagmus Network T-shirts!

Julian's aim is to raise £350,000 for sight research and raise awareness of the need for more investment into sight loss and visual impairment.

Have you sent us your 'amazing' story yet?

We've received some truly amazing nystagmus stories so far. We're planning to share as many as we can in the run up to Nystagmus Awareness Day to prove that nystagmus doesn't have to hold you back from achieving great things. We'll definitely be telling you Katrina, Charlie, Rosine, Ben and Chris's stories, but we want to hear yours, too!
