At this time of year we like to celebrate all the amazing things you, our supporters, have made happen. Thanks to you, the Nystagmus Network has spent another successful year providing support and information, raising awareness and funding not just 1 but 3 brand new nystagmus research projects.

Without your generosity none of this would be possible. Watch our blog, Facebook and Twitter posts this Monday, 19 November as we highlight your greatest achievements this year and say a huge THANK YOU for your support.

Happy Birthday, Nye

On 15 November we mark the birthday of Nye Bevan, the founding father of the National Health Service, which celebrates its own 70th birthday this year.

Aneurin Bevan, more commonly known as Nye, was a Welsh Labour Party politician, serving as Minister of Health from 1945 to 1951. The son of a coal miner, Bevan himself began his working life down the mine, where, alongside his workmates, he experienced miners' nystagmus.

Bevan soon became politically active and was a lifelong champion of social justice, the rights of working people and democratic socialism. His most famous accomplishment was the establishment of the National Health Service, which was to provide medical care free at the point-of-need to everyone, regardless of income.

Please don't forget us

The Nystagmus Network relies entirely on membership subscriptions, donations, fundraising and gifts in wills. We cannot continue our work without that financial support.

Your lasting gift could make a huge difference to the nystagmus community. It might help us fund that elusive piece of research which leads to a cure for nystagmus.

That would be quite a legacy, wouldn't it?

Please remember us in your will
