It feels as though the world has completely changed since my last message to you, and it certainly has. Despite the challenging times we are facing as a global community, I can assure you one thing remains the same: that staff at the City of Stanton remain committed to guiding our residents through our new normal. While we have had to change some aspects of how we operate, we have also been creative in adjusting our service delivery to meet your needs. For information on how to access virtual City services, plus a wide variety of resources for businesses, individuals and families, please visit our Virtual City Hall.
Additionally, we are aware that our residents have concerns regarding the County of Orange COVID-19 Hotel conversion. Five hotels throughout the County have been leased to isolate homeless individuals and prevent community transmission. The Stanton Inn & Suites in Stanton will temporarily house individuals 65 and older or those at a greater risk of becoming infected. It will not house individuals that are confirmed to be sick or symptomatic of COVID-19.
Please be advised that this agreement has been made exclusively between the County and hotel ownership, however, our City Council fought diligently for the County to implement a number of protective protocols to ensure the safety and welfare of Stanton residents and businesses. The contract provider, Illumination Foundation, will manage all County facilities, coordinate services, and ensure appropriate transition when discharged. Please visit our webpage for additional information regarding the Temporary COVID-19 Hotel Conversion.

Resources for our Local Businesses and Workers
Stanton understands that recent health directives related to COVID-19 have heavily impacted our workers and the local businesses that employ them. During these difficult times, the City will continue to support our Stanton business and working community with timely, updated resources. Please visit our Resources for Businesses and Workers page.
We are also encouraging our community to support their favorite Stanton eateries and order meals for pick up or delivery. Follow the link to See Which Stanton Businesses are Open.
We’ve partnered with the Stanton Community Foundation to provide “Serving Stanton.” SCF is accepting donations to be used to purchase gift cards from Stanton restaurants. Gift cards will go to Stanton families impacted by COVID-19 and also serve as a thank our public safety personnel including Fire, Sheriff, Grocery staff, and other essential personnel who are working tirelessly to help our community during this time of need.
