NEW & NOTEWORTHY
FAS Process for Denaming Requests
Last December, President Bacow shared the final report of the Committee to Articulate Principles on Renaming with the Harvard community. In his message to the community, he asked each School to develop their own process for consideration of such requests. With the benefit of the report’s guidance and after extensive consultation with various faculty groups and administrative leaders, the FAS process for considering requests for denaming is now in place. Please visit the FAS Secretary’s website for more information.
FAS HR Diversity Dialogue
Please join FAS HR for the next Diversity Dialogue on “Confronting Anti-Asian Violence” with special guest speaker Jennifer Lee on Thursday, May 12, 10:00am - 12:00pm EST. Visit the FAS HR website for more information. Register here via Zoom.
Optional Masking & Testing Reminder
As the University has moved to optional masking and testing, we’d like to remind departmental/center offices and laboratories that they cannot implement more restrictive policies requiring masking and/or testing. FAS has adopted the University’s policies and guidelines, all of which have been informed by Harvard University Health Services and the University’s medical advisory group. The FAS provides high-quality masks to community members who prefer to wear them, and the University’s testing program remains available to those who wish to participate. HUHS continues to monitor the situation and will adjust guidance accordingly.
