A message from the primary head
Don’t miss the Philomenal exhibition this week. It will be on display in the atrium from tomorrow until Friday.
Time comes and goes, time flies...each participating class has talked about time in their own way. The children have taken part in philosophical discussions about the concept of time during the year and the exhibition is the end result.
The Philomenal project is the first school-wide project at the French Section, involving classes from infants right through to high school and you will get a chance to see works from each class level involved if you drop by the junior building atrium this week.
They asked questions, had discussion and debates and you can get an insight into the philosophical conversations they had through the works on display. There are drawings, films, poems, presentations, performances on topics such as:
Drop in and visit the exhibition before or after school until Friday, after that it will disappear, just like time itself!
In other news, last Thursday, I went around the elementary classes to award the DELF results and the Cambridge YLE certificates (Starters, Movers and Flyers) to the students who had chosen to sit the French and/ or English tests earlier this Spring. Our students all did excellently, which goes to show how well they are working in class, something that I am sure Ms Mattossi, the French Inspector, will not fail to notice when she visits us for an official inspection this week!
As well as class visits and meetings with teachers, Ms Mattossi will also meet the Section Parent Council tomorrow and Parent representatives during the School Council meeting on Thursday.
