$10,000 Relief Grants for NSW small businesses battling COVID-19

Applications for a small business grant of up to $10,000 will be available through Service NSW within a fortnight and remain open until 1 June 2020.

Land tax relief to support commercial leasing

Applications for a small business grant of up to $10,000 will be available through Service NSW within a fortnight and remain open until 1 June 2020.

Small and medium enterprise guarantee scheme

The Australian Government will guarantee 50% of the value of eligible business loans to small and medium enterprises impacted by COVID-19. The maximum loan value is $250,000 and there will be a repayment-free period of six months.

Access to superannuation for sole traders

Sole traders who have suffered a decrease in income of at least 20% as a result of COVID-19 can apply to access their superannuation, to a total value of $10,000 this financial year, and another $10,000 next financial year. Withdrawals are tax-free.

National Environmental Science Program (NESP) 2

The National Environmental Science Program (NESP) 2 will deliver applied scientific knowledge, decision tools and practical management options to support environmental commitments made by all levels of Government and other end-users.

Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program

The program aims to preserve Australia’s wartime heritage and involve people around the nation in a wide range of projects and activities that highlight the service and sacrifice of Australia’s service personnel in wars, conflicts and peace operations. Projects and activities should promote appreciation and understanding of the experiences of service and the roles that those who served have played in shaping the nation.

There are two categories of grants available under the program:

  1. Community Grants (STS-CG)

    Grants to a maximum of $10,000 are available for local, community-based projects and activities.

  2. Major Grants (STS-MG)

    Grants between $10,001 and $150,000 are available for major commemorative projects and activities that are significant from a national, state, territory and/or regional perspective.

Indigenous Languages and Arts, Grant Round 2020

The overarching outcome of the ILA Program is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to express, preserve and maintain their cultures through Indigenous languages and arts activities.

Legal assistance for people engaging with the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements

The Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements has been established to inquire and make recommendations on government coordination of, response to and arrangements for dealing with national natural disasters.

Wildlife and Habitat Bushfire Recovery Program

The Wildlife and Habitat Bushfire Recovery Program will provide funding to support the immediate survival and long-term recovery and resilience for fire-affected Australian animals, plants, ecological communities and other natural assets and their cultural values for Indigenous Australians.

Start Strong - 2020

The Start Strong program provides funding to ensure all children can have access to 600 hours of quality preschool education in the year before entering school.

Active Kids voucher - 2020

The Active Kids program provides two $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.

Creative Kids voucher - 2020

The Creative Kids program provides parents, guardians and carers with a $100 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers.

It's a great opportunity to let kids find their passion and learn new skills.

Vouchers can be used to contribute to registration, participation and tuition costs for performing arts, visual arts, coding, languages, literature, music and other creative and cultural activities with our approved list of activity providers.

NSW Support for First Home Buyers - 2020

The NSW Government’s comprehensive package to improve housing affordability is focused on helping first home buyers, who often face stiff competition from investors.

For first home buyers, this comprehensive package will:

  • Abolish stamp duty on all homes up to $650,000
  • Give stamp duty relief for homes up to $800,000
  • Provide a $10,000 grant for builders of new homes up to $750,000 and purchasers of new homes up to $600,000
  • Abolish insurance duty on lenders’ mortgage insurance
  • Ensure foreign investors pay higher duties and land taxes
  • No longer allow investors to defer paying stamp duty on off-the-plan purchases.

Arts and Cultural Funding Program

Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program 2019/20 provides funding opportunities for arts and cultural organisations, professional artists and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.

Commonwealth Bank Bushfire Recovery Grants

Grants for a large range of community groups including fire services, schools, sports clubs and non-government organisations. Grants help replace or repair facilities damaged by fire.

The ClubGRANTS Scheme

ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing more than $100 million in cash each year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW.

Charities, sporting organisations and not-for-profit community groups are among tens-of-thousands of worthy causes funded through the program each year.
