What a wonderful Inaugural Gala we had last night, meeting new friends, conversations with other families, seeing "old" friends, enjoying an amazingly delicious dinner and dessert, and most importantly, raising money for the school through silent auction items and live auction items! Who could resist "Mitch" the puppy (who was quite popular before and during the live auction!) and his litter mate who was there to keep him company? It was a fun-filled evening, and a special thanks go out to our co-chairs, Wendy Gillespie and Ashley Odom, and their committee for hosting a beautiful evening!!
Parent/Student Conferences have begun and will occur through March 1. Teachers should have reached out to you already to schedule conferences. If you have not heard from your child's homeroom teacher, please email them to schedule a conference. Some of the conferences are occurring during IEP/504 meetings in lieu of a classroom meeting.
Finally, on Saturday, February 23, we will need as many volunteers as possible to move items from the school's main building to the second building so that renovations can begin around March 1. Please email Ms. Bishop (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mrs. Disbrow (email@example.com) to let us know if you can help. We will need hand trucks to help move the furniture and other items. Because of the amount of heavy lifting required, for liability reasons, please keep children at home. This will be a day just for adults or teenage and older children who are willing and able to pitch in and help.
