Spring Break: Coding Camp

with Hillina Ghulam

Online Class | Mon-Thu March 22-25, Mar 29 - April 1 | 10:30-11:30am

Need a little inspiration to learn coding? This is a great beginners class where students will be introduced to programming concepts and apply the terms! Students will unleash their creative minds by designing a strategic game using graphical programming in an environment built by MIT.



Pro-D Day Art Fun Camp

with Gayle Hunter

In-Person | Fri April 23 | 9am-3pm

A full day of fun in the art studio! Instructor Gayle will engage the students in a variety of seasonal themed art activities. Projects include painting on canvas like a professional artist. Spend the day making new friends and learning about each other through art.



Friday Friends

with Kimberly Blackstock

In-Person | Fridays April 16, May 14 | 5:30-6:45pm

Once a month we hold a “Friday Friends” for children to get together and create either a painting on stretched canvas or a large format piece of art on watercolour paper. There will also be the opportunity to join in on a creative conversation where they’ll get to know a little bit about one other. This is a great time for children to develop technical skill while having fun in the studio with a friend or meet new friends.

Art Night for Youth

In-Person | Thurs Mar 18, April 22 | 6:30-8:30pm

Once a month a small group of youth will gather together with like-minded
individuals who enjoy creating and developing their artistic skill. Students
will create either a painting on stretched canvas or a large format piece of art on watercolour paper with guidance from professional artist and
instructor, Kimberly Blackstock. The opportunity for creative conversation
will be had where they’ll get to know each other and share opportunities,
like contests, exhibitions or community projects to participate in.

Saturday Morning Drawing

Online | Sat April 10 - May 15 | 10am - 12pm

This is the perfect series for youth to develop their drawing skills from the comfort of home!
We will study line, shading, volume, texture, pattern … all the critical components of drawing that
every artist needs to know. Fun and interesting design challenges will encourage you to experiment
with mark-making as you reach YOUR next level of creative expression. 


Mixed Media Play

with Margarita Hobbes

Online | Mondays March 29 – April 26 | 7-9pm

Join instructor Margarita Hobbes as she leads students through a step-by-step process of creating an abstract mixed media painting. Students will spend time getting familiar with art materials, learning about colour and different types of compositions, and exploring playful mark-making.


Introduction to Drawing Botanicals

with Christy Dunsmore

Online | Tuesdays April 13 - May 18 | 6-8pm

Drawing botanicals is a centuries old practice. Before photography was invented, documenting plants with drawings was critical to their study. The artist’s goal was to show the exact shape, size and colour of the plants and flowers under observation, resulting in exquisitely detailed, delicate drawings.


Create Night

with Christy Dunsmore

Online | Friday April 16 | 6:30-9pm

Spread out in the comfort of your own home with a canvas, paints. You can even prepare your own favorite snacks and beverages! Christy will guide you with her technical expertise (and great sense of humour) to achieve your own personal masterpiece. These light-hearted evenings are creative, educational, and fun!

A Mysterious Attraction: a new spin on gravitational art

Gravity is a fundamental force for our existence. Yet it’s very essence remains a mystery. In this body of work, the artists explore the force of gravity artistically, using it to create and activate pieces in this mixed media installation. The exhibition aims to engage viewers visually and physically in the experience.
