Large Auction set for former New Albany Pillsbury Production Plant
A live webcast auction of good quality food processing equipment from the former Pillsbury dough production plant in New Albany, Indiana is set to start tomorrow, February 16th 2017 at 10:00 am (EST). The Auction is a joint venture between New Mill Capital and Tiger Group and will feature more than 2500 individual items of equipment from the New Albany plant and will last for one day only. Euro Auctions Appointed to Dispose of Hire Specialist Hewden Assets
UK Giant, Euro Auctions is set to auction 127 cranes and other construction equipment this month. The first auction is set to start February 15th in Bristol with further sales taking place in Wokingham, Mitcham, Newark, Dundee and Glasgow. The process is expected to last at least four months. Cranes will be sold by tender alongside thousands of items of general construction equipment. Read More

22nd Sugarland Auction: To be the Biggest Ever
This year’s Sugarland Auction, conducted by the Weeks Auction Company, has grown steadily over the last 22 years and is expected to have its biggest year in 2017. It takes place this February 17th and 18th in Clewiston, Florida. “This features hundreds of pieces from U.S. Sugar Corporation, as well as more than 200 other consignors," said Owner, Tim Weeks. The equipment will be available for inspection starting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday 13th through Thursday 16th at the auction site. Read More

Global Auction Tracker
 
February sees a slight decline in the number of auctions globally from January’s total of 444 to 415. Assets in the metalworking category continue to form the bulk of sales within the global auction market with 115 Auctions. Construction follows in second place with 63 and PPM is a close third with 59 sales globally.
 
21% Growth in Used Equipment Market
The used equipment market saw a 21% increase in buyer interest at the turn of the year. Positive january figures were not entirely unexpected after a seasonal slowdown in December. Read More

Geographic Selling Trends with Exapro
January 2017 over December 2016 shows that there is an overall increase in the number of machines listed (+ 67%) with the largest increases being in Germany (+151%), Poland (+109%), Spain (+95%) and Italy (+65%). Visit Exapro

The Move to Renewables: Energy's Future
Many of Europe’s largest energy providers are seeing the long term need to plan for a fossil fuel free future. The Danish energy company DONG Energy announced last November that they would be selling their entire North Sea oil and gas assets to concentrate on the large offshore windfarms which they have under construction and which total a massive 4.4GW.
