Dear NAP Global Network Participants,

As 2016 comes to a close, please find below an update on our activities over the last two months. We had the opportunity to connect with many new and established participants at COP, supported NAP Assemblies in Peru and Togo, and released some guidance and technical resources on key topics. We take the opportunity to wish you all the best for the holiday season and look forward to your continued participation in 2017.
NAP GLOBAL NETWORK AT COP 22
Building momentum for NAP processes on the international stage
The NAP Global Network was very active at this year's COP, presenting highlights from the Network's first two years at our official side event, making the exciting announcement that five new partners (Canada, Austria, Australia, France and the European Commission) will join the Network to enhance their support for NAP processes, and launching new guidance on vertical integration in NAP processes.

See full coverage of our activities at COP 22.
GUIDANCE ON VERTICAL INTEGRATION IN NAP PROCESS
A guidance note for linking national and sub-national adaptation

We are very pleased to share this new guidance note on vertical integration in the NAP process, which creates intentional and strategic linkages between national and sub-national adaptation planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). For context, we also published this blog on why vertical integration is necessary for inclusive, effective NAP processes.

Download the guidance note.
