From the Chairman's Desk
TKG is proud to share that our two divisions – health care delivery consultancy and life science commercialization agency – continues to grow in both the organized customer and pharmaceutical sectors.
Ochsner Health Network designated TKG as healthcare delivery consultants to assess and design a population health program to be scaled throughout their regional network. TKG will evaluate population health programs that incorporate payment models where both health plans and Ochsner share risk, which have emerged as the dominant payment models adopted by both CMS and commercial plans. TKG has over four years of experience designing chronic care management models and has recently been awarded a CMS grant to redesign chronic care delivery with almost 4,000 providers in the southeast.
TKG’s unique healthcare delivery insight and expertise has established the our Life Science Division as the agency leader in B2B program design. TKG’s understanding of healthcare delivery enables us to build programs for industry that position them as collaborators with their customers. As a result, TKG’s life science customers often comment that our understanding of the landscape and how that translates into strategic execution differentiates us as an innovative partner versus a traditional vendor. Examples of TKG innovative life science models include:
  • CMS bundled payment pilot support for orthopedics
  • Managed market platforms that address quality and patient engagement gaps (our longest standing model is over 10 years old!)
  • Technology integration into life science service platforms in an easily adaptable format for systems and plans
  • Prior authorization models that accelerate market access
As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, TKG has a dynamic understanding of key drivers and is committed to improving healthcare delivery through our work with organized customers and the life science industry. Please let us know if we can provide additional information.

The New HMO: Actionable Data, Team-Based Care, Patient Engagement

The HMO model is making a resurgence in new health plans through limiting coverage to a specific narrow network and making it more expensive to see an outside provider. While HMOs had a bad reputation in the ‘90s, these new models incorporate successful elements of patient care, including actionable data, team-based care, and patient engagement techniques.
