Debriefing: A Simple Matter of Listening
Greetings, Friend!

Change, crisis, injustice, loss, feeling stuck. Everyone experiences these at some point in life, including missionaries. Because MBI’s goal is to help YWAM missionaries thrive, we offer spiritual debriefing to assist them in making sense of the things that happen in life and in mission service. Jeanette Brewster has worked with over 100 missionaries and heads MBI’s debriefing ministry.   Read more

Up—And Coming!

MBI’s new user-friendly website is up, making it easier for volunteers to apply for global service opportunities with YWAM. Be sure to visit us at:

Planning has begun for MBI’s office/hospitality center! A place for relationship, refreshment, and retooling, it will include an office wing (work spaces and up-to-date technology for better world-connection) and a hospitality/commons wing (volunteer, visitor, and staff housing; seminar spaces, and a welcoming common area).

Trouble-Free Transition

What does it look like when the priorJohn and Donna Briggs and Ron Brewster leader of 20 years remains on the team and serves under a new leader? Often asked if they “retired” from MBI, John and Donna Briggs continue the jobs they’ve done for the past twenty years in administration, finance, volunteer development and YWAM location services, adding new roles of coaching and training.

While it may not be common for long-term leaders to stay and work under a new leader, the Briggs and the Brewsters have had a long friendship working together. Ron honors the gifts and callings of those he leads, so John’s transition from leader to worker has been very easy.

New team members help expand MBI’s vision, growing it from “lifting the arms” of long-term missionaries to helping them THRIVE. Working as a team and seeking God’s will creates deeper relationships, motivation, and responsibility, resulting in the whole team owning MBI’s expanding vision. Especially rewarding is to see ideas dreamed about years ago taking shape and form with the addition of new team members and new ministries like Partner Architects and Debriefing.

It’s a blessing and a gift to get to work together and to champion younger leaders!

So Others May Thrive
MBI provides leadership support, practical resources, and volunteer connections to YWAM locations worldwide. Our goal is to help YWAM locations thrive and be empowered to know God and make him known.
