So Others May Thrive

Letter from the Director

Spring Greetings from Montana, *FirstName*!

I have had friends, family, supporters, and fellow YWAM coworkers ask ‘why MBI?’ When I was a young base leader in my early thirties at YWAM Lakeside, MT, I was faced with many challenges. There were always projects and needs that required extra help and expertise.

At Last, A Full-Service MBI!

MBl’s goal is to connect Christian volunteers with YWAM ministries worldwide. While the practical help of  thousands of volunteers makes it possible for those ministries to “keep the main thing the main thing,” it is clear that they also need the kind of support  provided by people who understand the unique needs and inner workings of YWAM.  Read more

North America
●  Simply put, YWAM Medicine Hat Eagles Nest Ranch in AB, Canada, is “a place where kids are important.” Their mission is to meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of their campers in this rural, creatively old-West style location. They need plenty of hands-on help—from carpentry to facilities to landscaping to housekeeping—in order to keep this wonderful place open to kids.  ● The folks at  YWAM Northwoods, WI, strive to imitate the heroes in the book of Acts, who planted the first churches in the hardest and darkest places. They want to take the gospel “from the wilderness to the world.” Making yourself available to help paint and take care of the grounds for up to three months of your time in this wooded location is one way you can be part of helping them to realize their gospel aspirations.  ● Yee haw! YWAM Cowboys With A Mission in WY was birthed out of a desire to see the YWAM model of evangelism, discipleship training, and short-term missions extended to the cowboy/western, rural, and agricultural world in North America and around the world. They help people discover their gifts and strengths through horsemanship, livestock-related programs, and short-term mission opportunities. Want to be a part of their world? Go help with welding, auto maintenance, carpentry, food services, plumbing, painting, and so much more!  ● Would you like to serve at a beautiful, creative, awesomely woodsy place near the California coast? YWAM Mendocino Coast would be a good fit for you! Your help with facilities, sewing, groundskeeping, carpentry and more would put you in the midst of a fun missions community that has a heart to see the presence of God manifest on the Mendocino Coast and throughout Northern California!  ● YWAM Yosemite, CA, is located in the foothills of the scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains, a mere 20 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. But they are totally focused on training, equipping, and releasing young people into the nations and every sphere of society for Christ! Want to give them a hand? You can—in the kitchen, maintenance, communications, hospitality, and housekeeping!     ● Training up revivalists, saturating a city with Bibles and evangelism, living in a healthy and believing community: These are just a few things that describe YWAM Redding in CA. Intrigued? You can be a part when you volunteer to help with facilities, housekeeping, hospitality, or the kitchen—and you can assist with evangelism and local ministry, too!   ● YWAM Mazatlan, Mexico, has its hands full with its training schools, a Homes of Hope program, and local outreaches. Individuals and teams are welcome at this location, and those who assist with logistics, facilities, administration, hospitality, food services, auto maintenance or construction will be rubbing shoulders with students and participating in local evangelism as well as working with local orphanages and VBS programs.

YWAM Restore Ministry Romania is an extension of YWAM Romania that has a very clear call to help disadvantaged people from rural Roma communities. Volunteers are welcome to help not only with facilities and food services at the campus, but also to serve at summer camps for needy children and to assist staff as they reach out to poverty-stricken families, single mothers, and children.  ● YWAM Kyiv in Ukraine is devoted to preaching the gospel, empowering mission-minded Christ followers, and renewing the lives of the broken. They would love to have friendly, hospitable volunteers come and help with auto maintenance, landscaping, hospitality, food services, facilities, and even their newly-pioneered café ministry!      ● YWAM Budapest in Hungary had an enduring vision to create an urban outreach center in the middle of Budapest—a vision that came into being with the birth of a coffee house dedicated to the Lord. Besides running the coffee house, reaching out to the homeless, and maintaining their Refugee Camp Ministry for those coming to Hungary in search of a better life, these missionaries offer a variety of YWAM training schools. And yes, they need practical help: painting, electrical, masonry, and more.  ● YWAM Amsterdam, Netherlands, exists to be a Jesus-focused catalyst for transformation in Amsterdam as well as an innovative center for world missions. Just ask them how many ways they work to fulfill this vision when you go serve alongside them in the areas of carpentry, masonry, painting, electrical, general labor and more!
