From Fresh Face to Fearless Leader:
MBI's Incoming Director

Some of us remember Ron Brewster as the fresh-faced 17-year-old kid with the spikey mullet arriving at YWAM Lakeside, Montana, in 1987 to enter his Discipleship Training School (DTS). We had no idea Ron would turn out to be a YWAM “lifer.” What we know now is that Ron is a gifted leader/administrator ... Read More

Opportunities

The seasons are changing, and so are the opportunities available for you to serve! Here are just some of the possibilities awaiting you to make a difference for the sake of God’s kingdom. For other possibilities,  visit our website at www.missionbuilders.org and click on the "Where to Go" tab.

YWAM Los Angeles is all about using innovative ways to share about Jesus and the kingdom of God. Whether you volunteer to help with web design or facilities, landscaping or food services, hospitality or construction, you can be an essential part of their campus and what they are doing to transform lives at home and abroad.  Folks at YWAM West Virginia know that when the kingdom of God influences every sphere of society, from education to entertainment, peoples’ lives will be changed—beginning at the local level. Why not head to this campus in the heart of Appalachia and free them to pursue their goals by helping with practical things like renovations, groundskeeping, cooking, plumbing and more? YWAM Minneapolis uses acts of compassion and a multi-faceted proclamation of the gospel to bring about kingdom-oriented communities among the nations. They appreciate volunteers who can come be a part of their community of Christ-followers while assisting on their 240-acre campus with practical work in the areas of groundskeeping, food services, childcare, facilities, mercy ministries and more.  YWAM Discovery Bay in Washington State is known by volunteers for being “sold out to Jesus.” Mission builders who come help with renovations, carpentry, facilities, children, cooking, communications, groundskeeping and more will love the multi-generational, networking, local-to-international feel and focus of this location.   “If you can play with children, kick a ball, play an instrument, learn a dance or flag routine, pray with people, give someone a bag of groceries and tell them they are loved of the Father, we need you!” Wow! That’s the invitation to serve from YWAM Knoxville, TN. Of course, they also need help with accounting, groundskeeping, and facilities, so you can go and serve according to your strengths.

YWAM St. Lucia in the West Indies is a pioneering campus where people are dedicated to growing in the Lord and taking his love from the Caribbean to the nations. Here, you can help with groundskeeping, construction, homeschool, office work,  food prep and more and know that you are also helping them fulfill their God-given calling.  ● YWAM San Pedro, Dominican Republic, may be the place for you to volunteer if you love serving a local vision as well as an international one. As they focus on community projects as well as training and sending missions students into the world, you can pitch in with such jobs as hospitality, construction, media, website, communications, food services, and more.  ● At YWAM San Jose in Costa Rica, there is a variety of jobs you can do to help them continue their work to the homeless and women and children at risk as well as training and sending students into the world with the gospel. Come prepared to do anything from landscaping to food services to office work to facilities maintenance, and also enjoy helping with local outreach opportunities!  ● YWAM Jamaica consists of two campuses that share a heart for the poor and needy and offer opportunities to serve through a variety of programs. Whether you volunteer for practical on-campus things like electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, food services, groundskeeping or with their local outreach ministries, you will be blessed knowing you have made a priceless contribution.  ● YWAM Santiago, Dominican Republic, focuses their ministries on raising up, training, and sending Latino missionaries into all the world. They are in the midst of a building project, so their priority needs are currently construction-related. If that is what you love and are skilled to do, please make your way there and be a blessing!
