"Small Farms Feed Families in Tough Times "

<<First Name>>, you probably read our news last year about the instability in Nicaragua and yet during this the Pontis team, led by Ernesto, Jerenia, and the rest of the Nicaragua staff increased the number of students who successfully completed the sustainable agriculture program.  The Pontis 2018 annual report details the successes last year during these hard times.  Please take a moment to read the executive summary and see how your support helped people get through the uncertainties in Nicaragua:

Juana Lequez and her family

While much of Nicaragua shutdown during the unrest in 2018, your support made sure the Pontis team kept going.  You helped Juana Lequez secure a loan and expand her family's crops.

Small farms  =  security during tough times...

...and tough times are the norm in Latin America.
More students but fewer farms?  You can see there are more students in training in 2019 but farms and acres went down.  In some cases families graduated from the program.  In others unrest had real consequences.  It's never easy but your support makes real personal successes happen.

2019 - More Farms, Better Lives

The Pontis team is increasing the number of students in training and bringing more farms into the program.  In addition, more technicians are being trained.  Your support is the only reason this is happening.  Please donate today to allow more farmers, such as Juan and Beatriz, to bring better lives and secure futures to their families on small farms in Nicaragua.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and “you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”                    Jesus Christ, Matt 11:28-29
