As previously, BCITO have been keeping us in touch with their latest board meeting; accordingly we share the Board Bytes (December 2016) update with you - click here to read more.
We recently conducted a survey of all members and asked for responses to six questions concerning the path forward for FTMA.
The number of respondents was pleasingly high and the answers provided were remarkably similar to those we received from a previous similar exercise a couple of years back.
We intend to publish and circulate a detailed summary early in the new year, along with other relevant proposals for our future and continuing development, as well as important Health & Safety information.
MBIE and Guidance Document
With no further feedback from MBIE on this matter, we have received independent third party proposed changes to our Rules, which have been approved in principle by your Executive.
Our next step will be to commence consequent alteration to our COP document so that it will more closely align with the MBIE Guidance paper, in whatever form that may take when it is eventually resolved.
We think we have a good idea about the likely outcome of MBIE’s end-result, and our amended COP will be “future proofed” as best we can to cover all potential eventualities.
Your executive team acknowledges and thanks all members, (Fabricators, Corporates, and Industry Associates) for their support throughout the year and hope that we have been of useful assistance during that time.
We extend our very best wishes to you all for this festive season and ask that you relax – have fun with family and friends – and stay safe.
See you again in 2017.
