Hope for Home Ministry teams

July - 2 teams from Element Church (NC)
August - the Scott Cramblit family (OR)
Also in August we had a week with Darryl and Connor Byle from Montana and Anita Byle (newest Hope for Home team member).  And in October we welcomed a medical team from Element Church (NC) featured in the heading!
Surprise Visitors :  we won't lie.  As wonderful as the above visitors were two traveling from Missouri on a late September day topped them all!!!
We went to Guatemala City airport to pick up Kristin after a visit with Jacob and family.  Imagine our surprise when she didn't walk out alone but was accompanied by our bonus daughter, Regan, and our grandson, Everhett!!!!  What followed was incredible week of morning snuggles, much laughter and talk, great family time and amazing blessing upon blessing!  We received many gifts from the Father during that visit but one of the biggest was a sense of peace that He is in control and can bridge the physical distance between us by knitting together a deep relational closeness!!!
In August we were able to take a quick overnight trip to Chichicastenango to visit Kathlyn and Noé.  Here they are in the middle of the lot that they are in the process of purchasing where someday they hope to be able to build a small house!
September found us involved in many Independence Day activities.  We participated in 2 "Torch" runs - where a torch is ignited from a flame in the public square and then participants either run behind blowing whistles or drive behind honking horns.  We ran with Hope for Home and drove with the local Christian school!
Parenting Classes Begin
Our patient and gracious spanish class!
Throughout this year God has been leading, guiding and providing and in September a dream was realized and many pieces came together for us to begin sharing our passion for parenting discipleship classes offered through our church, Calvary Chapel Antigua.  Through a series of God-orchestrated events we became connected with Growing Families International and have begun to attend monthly ministry leadership conference calls which have been very encouraging, instructional and informative for us.  We also got connected with OneFamily , a ministry that had translated the new version of classes offered by Growing Families (Parenting from the Tree of Life) into Spanish.  They generously offered the books to us at cost, a ministry partner generously offered to purchase the books, Kristin brought them on her return from the US and we were ready to go!!!!  We had thought that we would train a native Spanish speaking couple that could then offer classes in Spanish.  However, with the encouragement and push from our Pastor we dove in and are teaching them ourselves!  The Lord has been our help as well as a bi-lingual couple willing to meet with us extra so that we can share the material and our hearts with them in our native language!  We can see God's fingerprints, guidance, and provision all over this new and exciting and stretching ministry!
The English class includes our own Kristin and Alyssa and Luis.  We are honored, humbled and blessed to be able to pass this teaching on to the next generation of our family as well as opportunity to bless and encourage other families..................for the glory of our Father!!!
And for our final stretch (for this month!) just this week Kristin received notice that her application to be a foster mom has been approved.  She (we) anxiously await a call and a child/ren.  In the meantime Kristin is busily preparing a homey and welcoming space and we all are preparing our hearts and minds! is a peak into some of what we've been up to.  We are also heavily involved in the ministry that Kristin leads, La Escuelita.  We are thankful for the opportunity to touch the next generation of families that God has placed in our sphere of influence!

"We will not conceal them from their children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wondrous works that He has done." Psalm 78:4

By His grace and for His glory,
Dale and Anita
