Window Into Our World

BeyersNGuate

September ended and October began with a visit from our Pastor in Missouri, Jason McCray!  For one week he walked and worked with us - listening, challenging, and drinking coffee!!!  We had never had a pastoral visit of that length before and thoroughly enjoyed every single moment!  We also enjoyed the opportunity to have Pastor Jason become acquainted with Pastor Luis, our pastor here (pictured with Dale in bottom photo above).  There certainly is something to be said for the encouragement that "walking alongside" for a bit affords!  Thank you to Warsaw Bible Church for sharing!
In October this foursome arrived for a week of ministry with Hope for Home and Building Guate.  The big surprise came when Brandon (2nd from left) and his wife Salem decided to change their return ticket and stay until early January!!!  They have been volunteering, exploring and seeking the Lord and will be house/pet sitting for us while we are in the US!  God's blessings come in unexpected ways!
8 young ladies (mostly from Bradford, OH) spent the last week on a ministry trip with Hope for Home!  We thoroughly enjoyed the houseful of chatter, laughter, sharing and fun each morning and evening!!!  Another huge blessing from the LORD!!!.
In October Dale completed year 3 as the lead school transport for 3 children from Hogar de la Esperanza and 2 local children.  Anita and Michael Gross and occasional others assisted. This activity provided each afternoon with certain challenge AND entertainment!
Fiambre - a variety of sausages and cold cuts pickled with beets, radishes, and untold other ingredients - is a traditional dish for Dia de los muertos (Day of the dead, November1) and was shared with Dale and Anita by an appreciative family of one of the school bus riders.  Even Guatemalans either love or hate this dish - ask us in person where we stand!!!
Kathlyn has been very busy preparing for and participating in I AM Art Camps with Athentikos.  In late October Kristin and Alyssa joined in and all 3, along with a team from both Guate and US, facilitated a camp at an orphanage in Guatemala City, bringing the message of Christ's salvation, redemption and restoration through art!  Since returning Kathlyn has been making the organizational preparations for the camp that will be held in late November at a home for sexually abused girls.

Kristin has also been quite busy wrapping up the school term with La Escuelita, moving to a new property (pictured below), making home visits with students and planning for next year.
Family, Prayer and Praise Updates

EVERHETT REID BEYER is here!!!  He made his appearance on October 11 and we thank the Lord for orchestrating an excellent internet connection that allowed us to be videoed in to watch one of his first hours of life as he was bathed, measured and weighed!  Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!!!

The new facility for La Escuelita is spacious, cool (old facility was a bit like an oven!!), has green space for outdoor play and is only 100 steps away from our house gate!!!  Praise God for His leading and provision!

Wedding prep is underway!!  We pray that this season will be precious and God honoring!  We appreciate your prayers for Kathlyn and Noé and Alyssa and Luis as they prepare for these big celebrations and their marriages that will follow!!

Please pray for us as we make last preparations for our trip to the US and as we travel and visit that we will be refreshed and refreshing! If we will be in your area please get in touch.......we'd love to see you!!!

The heart of man plans his way,
but the LORD establishes his steps.
